An ordinary Tuesday at our factory looks like this.
6:50 — the injection molding machines warm up. HF97A pieces, the workhorse of a thousand tournaments, come off the mold in full Staunton ranks. Then the real work: trimming the flash, weighting every base so the king feels like a king, felting each bottom flat, one last polish.
By midday the QC table has its own rhythm — a pawn with a rough edge goes back, a batch with uneven weighting goes back. No debate, no exceptions.
By late afternoon, finished sets move down the line: pieces boxed, vinyl boards rolled, cartons marked by continent, ready for the container.
Nothing glamorous. Just the same sequence, thousands of times a day, for 25 years. That repetition is exactly why a tournament set feels like a tournament set — no surprises, anywhere in the world.
